We arrived in Washington tonight around 9 p.m. and are now scattered around the city.
Sommer and I had an interesting taxi experience. I guess any taxi ride is interesting when the driver is asking YOU how to get to the location. But we managed to weave our way through the residential streets, navigating for our navigator.
I can already feel the excitement in the air. My roommate told me people have been telling her "happy inauguration" as they pass by this week. It's like a holiday.

The Reporters
Anita Pere, 21, is the Editor in Chief of The Lariat. A junior from Broken Arrow, Okla., Anita is majoring in journalism with a minor in film and digital media. This is her fourth semester on staff with The Lariat, where she worked as a staff writer for the first two.
Sommer Ingram, 19, is a fourth-semester staff writer for The Lariat. She is a sophomore majoring in political science with minors in journalism and business and is from Texarkana, Texas.
Ashley Killough, 22, also is a staff writer for The Lariat. She is a senior from Plano, Texas, with a double major in international studies and journalism. This is her third semester reporting for The Lariat.
Jordan Wilson, 19, is a staff photographer for the Baylor’s yearbook, The Baylor Round Up. He is a sophomore majoring in film and digital media with a minor in journalism. While he’s lived in Anchorage, Seattle and Denver, Jordan currently lives in Conway, Ark., when not attending Baylor.
